Admissions at VCU Engineering

VCU offers a self-managed online graduate application process. Apply to the VCU College of Engineering using the Office of Admissions application website, with additional information provided for international applications. Review additional Graduate School admission requirements in the VCU University Bulletin.

Acceptance into VCU Engineering graduate programs is based upon recommendation of the admissions committee with approval of the program chair and associate dean for graduate studies. Once admitted, graduate students are then able to register for Cardinal Education courses along with their VCU coursework, in accordance with program policies. Review the FAQ tab for more information.

Registering for a Cardinal Education Course

To take a Cardinal Education course, there are a few steps to follow. Begin with an email to gradengr@vcu.edu to express interest and mention your name, degree, and the Cardinal Education course of interest and term. Next steps will then be provided via email. It is essential to prepare to register at a minimum of three weeks in advance of the consortium school's registration deadline, as to avoid missing registration entirely.
